Permanence
While receiving a gorgeous bouquet feels wonderful, the global cut-flower industry has a surprisingly heavy environmental footprint. That romantic bunch of roses often comes with a hidden cost of high carbon emissions, intense water strain, heavy use of pesticides and chemicals and plastic waste.
Untitled Flowers borrows its name from a lineage in art where the title is deliberately withheld - Rothko, Warhol, Agnes Martin - work left open so the viewer, not the label, decides what it means.
We pair that with "flowers," one of art's oldest and most exactingly named subjects, and leave it unresolved on purpose.
